Our Early Intervention and Education Programs provide students ages 3-21 with intensive instruction that is specially designed to meet individual needs including academics, physical development, home and community skills, language development, social and emotional learning, behavioral support, social interaction, and independence.

Teaching extends beyond the school day during scheduled home visits with students and their families. During home visits, hands-on training is provided to parents and caregivers to allow them to be part of the intervention team. Description: PCDI seeks a full-time special education teacher or ABA therapist for our Education Program who will teach new skills used Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) principles and teaching strategies.

The special education teacher or ABA therapist will receive ongoing hands-on training provided by a module trainer/consultant who ensures consistent implementation of programming for learners and guides the development of instructors' behavior analytic skills. This position includes opportunities for long-term growth, career advancement, supervision, and mentoring. Responsibilities: The special education teacher or ABA therapist will: Establish comfortable and supportive relationships with students and colleagues Contribute to and participate in a positive, professional work environment that emphasizes ongoing collaboration and teamwork Teach and assist in the development of learners' instruction and treatment goals that include strategies such as the use of activity schedules, script and script-fading procedures, and Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-based training (SBT) Write programs describing instruction and treatment goals and intervention procedures Collect, summarize, and analyze ongoing data regarding skill acquisition and behavior management programs for students which will require strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Use Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint to document progress and collaborate with team members Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues Support parents and caregivers in meeting home programming goals Qualifications: The special educaton teacher or ABA therapist must have: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in psychology, education, and related field NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement is required for hire as a special education teacher Some experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) A valid driver's license Availability to work within designated school hours (eg, 8am - 4pm) and home visits (eg, a 90-minute visit once per week at the student's home) Benefits: Medical and dental insurance for each employee and optional dependent coverage Vision insurance (voluntary coverage) Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life and AD&D 403b Retirement (voluntary beginning Day 1, employer contribution beginning Year 3) Paid time off (8 days accrued per calendar year) Holidays and vacations, as noted on school calendar Tuition discount BCBA supervision Professional mentoring.
